The Academy: How it Works
You manage a real team (up to 18 players) aged between 15 and 19 competing in a youth league.
The Scouts
You can have up to 3 scouts. Each week you can call them to request a player. If you don't like the first prospect, you can call the second, but you will lose the first one forever.
Talent Discovery
Players arrive with hidden skills. You will discover them through:
- Scout reports: They will tell you the current level or the potential of a skill.
- Coach reports: After each match, the coach will reveal the current level of one player (primary training) and the potential of another (secondary training).
Dual Training
Unlike the first team, here you can train two things at once, but with different rules:
Primary (100% effective)
Reveals the current level of one of the players trained in this position.
Secondary (~75% effective)
Reveals the maximum potential of one of the players trained in this position.
Note: If you train the same skill for both primary and secondary (e.g., Playmaking + Playmaking), the secondary effect is drastically reduced.
The Youth System Bill
| Number of Scouts | Weekly Cost | Recommended Investment |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Scout | 10,000 € | Very low (little talent) |
| 2 Scouts | 15,000 € | Acceptable for starters |
| 3 Scouts | 20,000 € | Optimal (Highest odds) |
Extra fact: Promoting a player to the first team from the academy is free (unlike the 2,000 € fee in the scout network).
The Promotion Window
To profit on the market, a youth player must meet three requirements to be promoted:
Strategy: A player promoted at 17 years and 0 days with a "Solid" or "Excellent" skill can fund your entire academy for full seasons.
