History

The Origin: The Toasted Sandwich Pact

It all started during one of many breakfasts, amidst the whirring of the coffee machine and the smell of toasted pork loin and cheese sandwiches. A casual mid-morning break conversation at the bar where, between bites, the defining words were spoken:

— "I’ve had a Hattrick team for over 10 years."

— "Me too."

At that moment, the coffee went cold but the rivalry heated up. As a resident of Andorra, the choice was clear: an honorary branch had to be founded in the Valleys to battle in a direct duel within the same league and defeat my BOSS!!!.

hat is how Giru FC was born in the Andorran league: a team with veteran DNA but with the renewed energy of someone who wants to win the office derby. The motto "Giru! Giru!" is not just a battle cry; it is a reminder that the best football stories are born with a sandwich in hand and a challenge on the table.

Philosophy

Core Values

Respect, work rate, ambition, teamwork, and humility are the five core values that drive the spirit of the Giru FC squad.

Respect

Respect for others is one of the fundamental pillars of democratic life and the ability to live in society. It therefore affects the individual while simultaneously having a social or collective dimension. In sports, respect is fundamental, as tense situations arise that must be resolved almost instantaneously. It is necessary, therefore, beyond regulations and rules, to possess this value that guarantees personal, cordial, and proper relationships.

Effort

Effort is a value that allows us to reach unthinkable places or achieve goals and objectives that at certain moments seemed very distant or unattainable. Dedication, rigor, consistency, the capacity for sacrifice, and perseverance bear fruit, whereas luck or rapid success are often elusive or fleeting. The culture of effort acts as a vehicle for personal growth and self-improvement.

Ambition

Ambition is the desire to achieve maximum performance and to do things not just well, but as well as possible, striving to improve every day. It is a value applicable to both individuals and groups. This approach sets in motion a network of values as varied as excellence, patience, discipline, order, motivation, and responsibility, becoming the ultimate drive to grow.

Teamwork

Teamwork implies that the individual becomes part of a group and, as such, becomes an active element acting upon the whole (sometimes even to the detriment of their own individuality). The benefits of knowing oneself to be part of a whole are undeniable, and this fact requires continuous learning and the reinforcement of many other values of cooperation.

Humility

Often, achieving set goals can place groups on a plane of superiority that leads them to forget the values that contributed to their success (effort, rigor, consistency). Humility consists of keeping fundamental values clear, maintaining them, and defending them even in situations of clear superiority or resounding success, thereby earning the respect of one's environment and opponents.
