Injuries and Health Management

Prevention, recovery, and the impact of the 2024 system update

An injury is not just a sidelined player; it is a loss of TSI and market value.

1. Anatomy of an Injury

Injuries are shown in weeks (+1, +2), but the internal system calculates days and hours. TSI plummets when injured and rises gradually during recovery.

  • The "Bruised" Status: The player can play, but performance drops by 5-10%. Beware of reoccurrence: if they get injured again in the same area, the severity multiplies.
  • The Age Factor: A 17-year-old heals almost twice as fast as a 30-year-old veteran. From ages 35-40, some injuries can become permanent without elite staff.
  • Specialty: Resilient players have a passive healing speed bonus.
2024 Update
  • Duration: Generally shorter injuries.
  • In-match protection: Almost zero probability of a second injury.
  • Training: Maximum 1 injury per week.
  • Express Recovery: Thursday injuries often heal by the weekend.

2. The Containment Wall: The Doctor

Prevention Metric

-7.5% per level

A Level 4 Doctor reduces injury risk by 30%. This is the best insurance for your trainees.

Balance with Assistant Coaches

Each Assistant Coach level adds +0.025 injuries per match. At the Lab, we recommend:

Lvl 4 Assistant
+
Lvl 4 Doctor

This combination neutralizes extra risk while maintaining training speed.

3. Logistics and Match Risks

Substitutions

The assigned substitute enters. If none is available, you play with 10. Orders conditioned on injuries cannot be programmed.

Health Calculation

Use TSI to predict exact healing. A change in TSI indicates the player has "gained" hours of health.

Walkover Risk

You must have at least 9 healthy players to start the match or you will lose all training for the week.

Probabilities by Match Type
League / Cup / Friendly MAXIMUM RISK
Training Update 1 per week (max)
Tournaments / Ladders Zero Risk

Note: Risk in friendlies is identical to league matches. Don't play your stars if they don't need the training!
